COVID-19 In Odisha: 15 Deaths & 2854 New Cases In A Day

Odisha reported 2,854 new with the single-day exposure with the cumulative case to 2,49,693. The death toll has now reached 1000, with 15 more patients succumbed to death due to Coronavirus within the last 24 hours.

 Of the new cases reported from across 30 districts, 1,659 were detected from various quarantine centres, while 1,195 are local contact cases.

Around 2, 20,388 people have recovered from COVID-19 while 28,246 are active cases.

According to the Health and Family Welfare department Khordha district reported 393 positive cases followed by Cuttack -244, Puri- 122, Mayurbhanj- 127, Angul- 131 and Sundergarh- 143.

Out of 15 people who succumbed to death, five deaths were reported from Khordha which includes two deaths from Bhubaneswar. One death was reported from Balasore and one death from Cuttack. One death each from Mayurbhanj, Kendrapada, Sundergarh, Jaipur, Jagatisghpur, Ganjam, Balasore and Bolangir districts.

Official reports reveal 45914 samples were tested on Friday for COVID-19 that include 9327 RT-PCR, 36502 samples via Antigen testing, and 85 samples via Truenat testing, taking the number of samples tested cumulatively across the state to 3710592.
