COVID-19 In Odisha: With 16 Deaths & 3235 New Cases In A Day


Odisha reported 3,922 new with the single-day exposure with the cumulative case to 2,12,609. The death toll has now reached 813, with 16 more patients succumbed to death due to Coronavirus within the last 24 hours.

 Of the new cases reported from across 30 districts, 1,915 were detected from various quarantine centres, while 1,320 are local contact cases. Around 1, 73,571 people have recovered from COVID-19 while 38,172 are active cases.

Three COVID patients succumbed to death in Balasore and two deaths each reported from Bhubaneswar, Puri and Mayurbhanj. One death each were reported in Cuttack, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi , Ganjam , Dhenkanal and Bolangir districts.  

According to the Health and Family Welfare department Khordha district reported 506 positive cases followed by Cuttack -318, Angul- 179 and Bargarh- 137 cases. Around 47,634 samples were tested on Sunday for COVID-19 that include 6648 RT-PCR, 40945 samples via Antigen testing, and 41 samples via Truenat testing, taking the number of samples tested cumulatively across the state to 3159400.
