Odisha reported 2,617 new with the single-day exposure with the cumulative case to 2,35,330. The death toll has now reached 924, with 17 more patients succumbed to death due to Coronavirus within the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases reported from across 30 districts, 1,521 were detected from various quarantine centres, while 1,096 are local contact cases.
Around 2, 02,302 people have recovered from COVID-19 while 32,051 are active cases.
According to the Health and Family Welfare department Khordha district reported 506 positive cases followed by Cuttack -136, Bargarh- 148, Angul-115 and Jajpur- 112.

Out of 17 people who succumbed to death, three deaths were reported from Cuttack and Puri district each. Two deaths were reported each from Balasore, Boudh, Bhubaneswar and one each death were reported in Angul, Keonjhar, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Sundergarh districts. Official reports reveal 41,567 samples were tested on Friday for COVID-19 that include 4718 RT-PCR, 36777 samples via Antigen testing, and 72 samples via Truenat testing, taking the number of samples tested cumulatively across the state to 3482402.
