It is significant that Raurkela will host 20 games during the Men’s Hockey World Cup. Spain vs. India will play in the opening game on January 13. Three exhibition games will be played starting on December 24 before this. The infrastructure will be strengthened if any flaws are discovered during these practice games. Mohapatra also expressed the optimism that Rourkela Airport will soon have the required permits and be built.
The athletes will have access to four flights under the UDAN program. In less than a year, a stadium of this caliber was constructed.
