As it was expected by IMD India and Bhubaneswar, a cyclonic depression has formed over Andaman Sea. As per the reports of the IMD, the cyclonic depression has formed around 5 30 am today.
The system is likely to become a low pressure area over the same region around May 6 and intensify further during the subsequent 24 hours, it added. The system will intensify into a cyclonic storm or not can be ascertained after the formation of low pressure area, said experts. The system will be named as Cyclone Asani if it intensifies into a cyclonic storm.
