AIIMS Trauma Centre Transformer Fire Under Control

In a separate incident on Thursday afternoon, a fire broke out following a blast in an electric transformer near the Trauma Centre at AIIMS Delhi. The Delhi Fire Service received a call at 3:34 PM and deployed eight fire tenders. The flames were brought under control within 30 minutes, and no injuries were reported.

DFS Chief Atul Garg stated that the fire was not inside the trauma centre but at a nearby NDMC transformer. AIIMS also issued a clarification confirming that the facility was unaffected and the blaze was swiftly contained with no harm to patients or staff.

Authorities are continuing to monitor both situations and ensure safety protocols are followed to prevent such incidents in the future.
