Rath, who grew up in humble surroundings, has been ambitious and entrepreneurial from a young age. His father used to ask him about his ambition frequently, and he used to reply, “I want to become the President of India since he holds the highest constitutional office in our country.” Rath had an excellent academic record and was the top student at his school. He finished Mechanical Engineering at the prestigious Orissa Engineering College in Bhubaneswar. However, destiny had other plans for him.

Although he was offered a mouthwatering job with a leading auto ancillary company, he chose to create his destiny. He started an FMCG franchise business in Bhubaneswar despite many hardships and hiccups.
Nevertheless, he incurred heavy losses and shut down the operations due to a lack of industry expertise and lukewarm customer response. Rath, who was unwilling to give up, opened a life insurance agency. After the Great Recession of 2008, he gave up his profession.


Real estate was a growing sector in Bhubaneswar at the time. Rath saw that as an opportunity and purchased a few patches of land in Sampur to start a plotting business. He tasted success and went on to acquire large landholdings. He soon realized that to make a name for himself; he would have to streamline his business to offer innovative solutions to home-buyers. Consequently, he formed Evos Buildcon Private Limited on November 12, 2010 (a unique descending date- 12.11.10). With unmatched quality and new-age design, the sole objective was to enrich a lifestyle. Quite interestingly, Evos takes its inspiration from the Latin word ‘ēvos,’ meaning ‘an act of unfolding a book.’ The rest, as they say, is history.


A name to reckon with in Odisha’s real estate market, Evos has already built several projects in multiple segments like premium residences, penthouses, luxury apartments, urban studios and value homes. The premium sea-facing luxurious 1 BHK and studio apartment project is near Puri Seabeach. It has state-of-the-art amenities such as an around-the-clock water supply, electricity, a spa, swimming pool, gym, community hall, etc. It is expected that the much-anticipated project will be completed by early 2024. The Second Phase of Evos Searoses will be more significant than the previous one, as it will offer customers both commercial and residential units. A second project is also in the works for Evos at Raghunathpur. With over 2,000 housing units, Evos Alchemy will be the biggest residential project in Bhubaneswar. There is also a township project near CV Raman College, which is expected to be completed soon.

Rath is not only an accomplished realtor but also a dedicated philanthropist. He is dedicated to Satsang and contributes a part of the company’s earnings, but he never shies away from helping people in need. During the pandemic lockdown period, he volunteered to help the Covid-affected families and daily wage earners. He has also adopted 21 Ekalya tribal schools across the state and is working hard to improve their infrastructure and curriculum.


Rath is an outspoken advocate of spiritualism, which he credits for helping him through challenging situations, improving his decision making at work, and evolving into a better and more confident person.


After consolidating the Bhubaneswar market, Rath’s strategic vision for the future is to expand the company’s presence throughout the state and outside of it. We are well-positioned for continued, profitable growth. However, my long-term goal is to create 5,000 happy customers by 2025. I also see Evos as a critical player in the Indian real estate sector, offering customers extraordinary housing services,” he adds.
