DMRC Submits DPR Of Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Project

After carrying out a traffic study, a geotechnical investigation, a topographic survey, and environmental and social impact analyses, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) finished preparing the detailed project report and handed it to Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena today at the meeting held by the Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Corporation (BMRC).

According to the Detailed Project Report (DPR), the Phase-I of the Bhubaneswar Metro Rail will cover the following locations: the Biju Patnaik Airport, the Capital Hospital, Sishu Bhawan, Bapujinagar, the Bhubaneswar Railway Station, Ram Mandir Square, Vanivihar, Acharya Vihar Square, Jaydev Vihar Square, Xavier Square, Rail Sadan, the District Center, Damana Square, Patia Square,

The Metro Rail Project between Bhubaneswar Airport and Trishulia, Cuttack, was approved by Odisha Dibas, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on April 1, 2023. It would later be expanded to reach Khordha, Puri, and other parts of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack city. The DPR’s preparation was within the purview of the DMRC.

In the meanwhile, Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has been notified on 3rd August 2023 and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & General Manager (Administration) have been appointed.
