The Angul District Administration and JSP Foundation, the social arm of Jindal Steel & Power (JSP), teamed together to develop Project SPARSA, a technology-driven project to lower the district’s infant and maternal mortality rates. On August 15, 2023, the project was officially launched by Minister of Industries, MSEM, and Energy Pratap Keshari Deb. He gave the ANMs of 200 Health Sub Centers in the district the Digital Diagnostic Kits.
Siddharth Shankar Swain, the Angul District Collector, Sudhanshu Sekhar Mishra, the CDMO for Angul, Dr. Trilochan Pradhan, Prashant Hota, the President and Group Head (CSR) of Jindal Steel and Power, and other prominent district officials occasionally attended. At the project’s opening, Deb thanked the district administration for working with Jindal Steel & Power Chairman Naveen Jindal and JSP Foundation Chairman Shallu Jindal to implement such a cutting-edge initiative in Angul District. According to him, this may be done in other regions of the State.
Angul District Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain, who played a crucial role in conceptualising this project, highlighted the various features of this project. Superintendent of Police Sudhanshu Sekhar Mishra, CDMO Angul Dr Trilochan Pradhan extended their best wishes for the programme’s success.
