Dy CM Pravati Parida Inaugurates Call Centre & Auditorium At Mission Shakti Bhavan

The phone center and auditorium of the Mission Shakti department were opened on Friday at the Mission Shakti Bhavan in Pokhariput by Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Women & Child Development, Mission Shakti, and Tourism Pravati Parida. An official press release states that IDCO spent Rs 7.59 crore to build the auditorium, which can accommodate 400 people.

The auditorium will offer a sizable infrastructure for Self Help Groups (SHGs) to conduct training and skill development programs, as well as for the staging of various meetings, workshops, cultural events, and product launches. This will be extremely beneficial to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and its confederations, and it will be crucial to the ongoing growth and empowerment of women’s groups in Odisha.

Apart from that, Parida opened the Mission Shakti Call Center on the grounds of Mission Shakti Bhavan. Under the Mission Shakti department, this call center will educate SHGs on various plans, programs, and new steps, among other things. All SHGs and its confederations can get their questions and complaints answered by this call center. Its toll-free line, 155276, will be open from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM on all working days.

The Deputy Chief Minister commended the department’s efforts and perseverance in the 100-day success of the Mission Shakti department, the repayment of Rs 175 crore in interest to Mission Shakti members, the establishment of 100 Mission Shakti retail marts, the creation of 750 producer groups, the establishment of Rs 530 crore in government business, and the successful achievement of the goal of loan disbursal of Rs 2340 crore to SHGs.
