A mild earthquake hit Mizoram today. At around 7.52 am on Today, 18th January 2022, a mild earthquake of 4.3 Richter scale hit the state of Mizoram. The epicenter of the temblor that struck at 7.52 a.m. was 46 km ENE of Ngopa and at a depth of 15 km.
The earthquake just comes after several mild to moderate earthquakes occurred in the neighboring states and adjacent countries of Mizoram. Just a few hours back, a 4.9-magnitude quake in Xizang area of Tibet, close to the India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh, struck at 4.29 am.
The tremors of the Mizoram earthquake were felt on Arunachal Pradesh as well. No serious damage to life and property has been resulted due to the earthquake.
