Soren has been called in by the federal government as part of an investigation into money laundering concerning the purportedly fraudulent sale and acquisition of land in Ranchi.
According to people with knowledge of the situation, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday sent Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren his sixth summons, requesting that he come before the federal agency for questioning in relation to a money laundering investigation involving the alleged fraudulent sale and purchase of land in Ranchi.
