A solitary elephant strayed into Khordha town and ruined public property before returning to the forest last night (Friday).
The elephant was initially seen nearby the District Collector office at around 11 PM. It annihilated the compound divider of the EVM godown.
Later it moved towards National Highway 16 and entered the Janaki Ballav Pattnaik Park. After being shooed by the local people, it fled to Barunei forest through Gada Khordha.
