The Housing and Urban Development Department continues to strengthen its Community Partners (Mission Shakti SHGs) for effective public service delivery in all ULB wards.
Empowering Jalasathis- Mission Shakti SHGs involved in effective water supply management in urban Odisha continues on a large scale.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the Capacity Building Programmes for all Jalasathis on November 2 at Lok Seva Bhavan here, where 244 Jalasathis from Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Puri were trained on effective ward level water supply management.
Another Capacity Building programme was held today in Bhubaneswar to scale up these programmes. The programme involved 79 Jalasathis from 21 ULBs from three divisions: Angul, Cuttack, and Bhubaneswar.
Highlighted the journey of Jalasathis in urban Odisha under 5T Governance thus far, with a focus on empowering and taking it to the next level for better successful LED, safe drinking water supply, and so on.
RN Nayak, Engineer-in-Chief PHEO, and Basant Senapati, Advisor PHEO, also expressed their gratitude to the Jalasathi Partners for driving water supply management at the ward level in a timely and effective manner.
