Since founding Batoi in 2010, Dr. Rath has led the company with a mission to simplify technology adoption without compromising security. What began as a vision in Eastern India has now evolved into a globally recognized brand, delivering enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and AI-powered solutions to clients across industries. His leadership and foresight were recently acknowledged on an international stage when Batoi received the prestigious ‘Incredible Inc.50’ award from the US India SME Council at the IndiaSoft 2025 event in New Delhi, recognizing its remarkable impact on the US market and its role in driving next-gen innovation.
Dr. Rath’s journey is the culmination of over two decades of experience straddling the worlds of science, technology, entrepreneurship, and policy. A physicist by training, he holds a master’s degree from the University of Hyderabad and has conducted advanced research in nonlinear processes and gravitational plasmas at the Institute for Plasma Research. As a young scholar, he was a visiting student at premier research institutions like TIFR, IUCAA, and IOP, and was honored with the Best Research Paper Award at the National Conference of the Plasma Science Society of India in 1998. But beyond his academic accolades, he possessed a rare instinct—to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world application.
This instinct led him to pivot from pure research to information technology. By the early 2000s, he had already launched pioneering ventures like Alinnov Hosting, one of Eastern India’s first hosting companies, and Bloochip Infoline, where he directed large-scale consulting and implementation projects in the US and Europe. These formative experiences shaped his global outlook, which he would later embed into Batoi’s DNA.
Beyond his role at Batoi, Dr. Rath’s influence extends across continents and sectors. He serves as Director of multiple companies in India and the United States, including Time Captis Inc. and BCube Analytics Inc., and continues to lead complex software projects across the US, Europe, and India. As the Regional Chairman (East) of the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), he plays a key role in shaping India’s IT export strategies, representing Eastern India on both national and international platforms.
A passionate technologist and thought leader, Dr. Rath is also a DevSecOps consultant, published author, and international speaker. His expertise spans cutting-edge domains like quantum computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, AR/VR, IoT, and cybersecurity. He holds a doctorate in Cybersecurity Management from the Swiss School of Business and Management, specializing in green computing metrics—reflecting his enduring commitment to sustainable digital practices. His scholarly approach is matched by a prolific writing career, with numerous articles and books contributing to both academic and industry conversations.
Despite the demands of his professional life, Dr. Rath remains deeply connected to his roots. Alongside his parents, wife, and son, he finds solace in the rhythms of rural life and draws inspiration from nature’s simplicity. His values reflect in his social engagements as well—he is actively involved in philanthropic initiatives, serves on the boards of educational institutions, and contributes to national discussions through think tanks, policy groups, and technology advisory committees. He is also a life member of organizations like the Indian Red Cross Society, St. John Ambulance, and the Blood Donors Council.
