With more intensifying the farmers’ agitation against the Central Government regarding the Farm laws, things have turned a little heat up when the farmer’s organization has taken over the toll plaza across the country.
As a part of the ongoing protest, farmers’ organizations have invaded almost every toll plaza in the country, which was decided by the Bharatiya Kisan Union. Even in Odisha, the Akhil Bharatiya Krushak Mahasangh has extended support to the protesting farmers.

The Krushak Morcha’s members staged a protest at the Pipili toll gate in Puri as support for the farmers protesting against the newly enacted Farm Bill in Rajya Sabha. As a result, they have demanded exemption of toll taxes for all the vehicles that pass through the plaza.
The Krushak Sangathan also stated that they would gherao office of Collectors and Sub-Collectors in all the districts on 14th December. As per the sources, farmers have overpowered the toll plaza staff on Chandigarh-Delhi highway and allowed toll-free movement of vehicles. Even in Haryana, farmers have closed Bastara toll plaza in Karnal and Shambhu toll plaza in Ambala.

According to the sources, the farmers will reinforce their protection if the Central Government won’t fulfill their future demands. On December 14, all district magistrates in India would be handed over memorandums by the farmer unions to be forwarded to PM Narendra Modi to seek the three new farm laws’ repeal.
Even the farmers will hold ‘Kisan Kranti March’ at 11 AM daily so that the Centre will agree to their demands by repealing the three laws.
