Mumbai Police Crime Branch has filed a fresh FIR in the case involving businessman Raj Kundra where it mentions producers of HotShots, the app owned by Kundra’s company, as well as actor Gehana Vasisth but has no mention of Raj Kundra himself.
According to officials familiar with the case, a total of four producers of HotShots have been named in the FIR. A court on Tuesday sent Kundra and his associate Ryan Thorpe to judicial custody for 14 days.
The latest FIR was filed on the basis of a complaint by a Mumbai-based model wherein her statement to the Mumbai Police Crime Branch, the model stated that she was promised a ‘break’ in a big-budget Hindi film and made to act in adult movies.
Officials of the Crime Branch asked the model to file an official complaint in this regard. Since the alleged incident took place under the limits of the Malvani police station in Mumbai, an FIR was registered at the same station on the basis of the model’s statement on Tuesday.
The case will now be referred to the Mumbai Police Crime Branch and investigated further.
