After completing his Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) at FM University, he went on to pursue an MBA in Marketing and Management from Punjab Technical University. His academic foundation was further strengthened through numerous national and international affiliations, including NIIT, TimesPro, Pearson, NASSCOM, EC-Council, Project Management Institute, Certiport, Global Association for Quality Management, and the Linux Professional Institute. His tenure as president was marked by impactful initiatives that focused on environmental sustainability, disability welfare, empowerment of underprivileged children, and support for the visually impaired. His leadership earned him prestigious honors such as the Platinum President Award and the highly regarded BAHUBALI President title, making him one of the most celebrated Rotary leaders in Odisha.
The recognition Mr. Suraj has earned throughout his career is a reflection of his multifaceted contributions. He was honored with the Smart Odisha Nabaratna Award as a Rising Entrepreneur by SCART, placing him among nine distinguished individuals in the state. His community initiatives brought him accolades from the Government of Odisha for contributions to disability welfare, the Indian Red Cross Society for organizing outstanding blood donation drives, and Rotary International for his leadership in women empowerment and sustainability projects. He has also been felicitated for his cyber safety awareness campaigns, jury roles at hackathons, and efforts to strengthen industry-academia collaborations. Most recently, he received the ABJ VIP Global 2024 Best Entrepreneur Award, cementing his reputation as an emerging leader with global impact.
Despite his growing success, Mr. Suraj remains deeply connected to his roots in Odisha and envisions the state as a land of opportunities. With the BJP-led government ushering in reforms, he believes entrepreneurs are now better positioned than ever to thrive. “All doors are now open for entrepreneurs,” he says. “Odisha has immense potential to become a hub for IT industries. What we need are more entrepreneurs who can create employment rather than being employees. That’s the vision I hold for my state.” His vision reflects both his optimism about policy reforms and his belief in the transformative power of entrepreneurship.
