Respite from intense cold likely in Odisha, IMD predicts rise in temperature. Night temperature is expected to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.
Odisha is currently reeling under bone-chilling cold wave condition following a sudden drop in the night temperature. However, residents are likely to get relief from the chilly weather in the coming days, predicted the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The IMD said that the northerly winds continue to enter the State under the influence of the high pressure belt active over central India. Therefore, there is no possibility of any significant change in the night temperature for the next two days.
