Actor Janhvi Kapoor has voiced her outrage over a tragic road accident in Jaipur that claimed the life of a 14-year-old girl. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Janhvi strongly condemned the “reckless behaviour” of the driver involved, questioning what gives anyone the right to drive under the influence of alcohol and endanger lives.
“This is appalling and enraging. Sick to my stomach about anyone thinking this kind of behaviour is something they can get away with. Intoxicated or not,” she wrote, resharing a video of the incident.
This isn’t the first time Janhvi has spoken out against such incidents. Just last month, she addressed another fatal road accident in Vadodara, where a 20-year-old law student crashed his speeding car into two-wheelers, killing a woman and injuring four others.
On the professional front, Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for her next release Param Sundari, where she stars opposite Sidharth Malhotra. Directed by Tushar Jalota, the romantic comedy—centering around the clash of cultures between a “North ka munda” and a “South ki Sundari”—is slated to hit theatres on July 25.
