Giriraj Singh Demands Bharat Ratna For Naveen Patnaik & Nitish Kumar

Union Minister Giriraj Singh has demanded that former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar receive India’s highest civilian honor, the Bharat Ratna. Singh told reporters in Begusarai that Patnaik’s long tenure and persistent commitment to public service were the main factors behind Odisha’s impressive development. Singh emphasized Patnaik’s crucial contribution to the state’s transformation, pointing to his administration as an example of effective leadership in India.

“The contributions of leaders like Naveen Patnaik deserve national recognition. His efforts have significantly impacted the lives of millions and set new standards in governance,” Singh said.

Singh also praised Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in his address, attributing the state’s recovery from the “jungle raj” period to him. He argued that Kumar should be awarded the Bharat Ratna and cited his achievements in enhancing healthcare, education, and infrastructure. Singh’s statement is seen as part of the BJP’s broader effort to maintain alliance peace while appreciating the efforts of veteran leaders like Naveen Patnaik and Nitish Kumar.
