With the intention of having his friend pass the biometric verification and take the recruitment exam in his place, the candidate removed the skin from his thumb with the help of a hot pan.

However, an official said on Thursday that during the biometric verification before the railway recruitment test held in Gujarat’s Vadodara city on August 22, the thumb skin pasted on the proxy’s hand came off when the exam supervisor sprayed a sanitizer on it.According to Additional Commissioner of Police S M Varotariya, the Vadodara police detained Manish Kumar and Rajyaguru Gupta on Wednesday for forgery and cheating. Both men are from the Bihar district of Munger.

Both of the men are in their mid-20s and had previously passed the Class 12 exam. He claimed that both men were in their mid-20s and had previously passed the Class 12 exam.According to the FIR filed at Vadodara’s Laxmipura police station, a private company that was authorised by the Railways organised a recruitment test for railway “D” group vacancies at a building in the Laxmipura area here on August 22. More than 600 candidates showed up.All candidates were required to provide their thumbprints, which were compared with their Aadhaar data using a biometric device prior to the test in order to prevent any form of cheating.

Despite numerous attempts, the system at that time was unable to register the thumb impression of Manish Kumar, the candidate, Varotariya said. The test administrator became suspicious when he saw that the applicant was trying to conceal something by slipping his left hand into his pant pocket. The official claimed that the skin paste on the supervisor’s left thumb came off when he sprayed hand sanitizer on it. The individual who was apprehended admitted to the police that his real name was Rajyaguru Gupta and that he had entered the exam under the guise of his friend Manish Kumar. Given that Gupta excelled in school, Kumar, who had applied for a position with the railway, thought it would be a good idea to use a false identity to send Gupta to the interview.
