Sheikh attempted to escape to Bangladesh, but was thwarted when the Border Security Force was notified, according to ED officials. Bangladesh’s border guard agency was also on high alert because of the country’s polls.According to police, they were unaware of the raid and filed a complaint against ED after receiving a complaint from Sheikh’s housekeeper. The carer said that ED attempted to enter the home without authorization.
