In a shocking case of alleged misuse of official machinery, a Gurugram police constable has been suspended and booked after stalking social media influencer Shiwangi Peswani, who has nearly two lakh followers.
Peswani, in a viral Instagram video, alleged that around 12.30 am on September 14-15, a police control room (PCR) vehicle followed her while she was driving home. Later, she received a message on Instagram from an account posing as a woman, which revealed details of her car, entry gates, and movements—information apparently accessed using her vehicle number.
The sender reportedly wrote, “Police have really sharp eyes, you are beautiful,” before asking to continue the conversation in direct messages. Shocked by the incident, Peswani shared her ordeal online.
The constable has since been suspended, and an FIR has been lodged against him.
