A 21-year-old patient admitted to a private hospital in Gurugram was purportedly sexually assaulted by an individual from the staff while she was in the emergency unit), (police have said.
The lady was purportedly attacked while she was on the ventilator in ICU.
According to reports, the patient disclosed to her dad about the wrongdoing through a transcribed note when she recovered cognizance following half a month following which the family moved toward police and a case was enrolled at Sushant Lok police headquarters.
The patient is as yet under treatment, Hindustan Times revealed.
According to the news every day, the lady was conceded after she griped of breathing trouble. She was being treated for tuberculosis and was in detachment in an ICU.
Usha Kundu, the associate chief of police (HQ), told that the dad of the patient went to meet her and she let him know through-composed messages that she was assaulted.
“The emergency unite led an examination inside and we were informed by the relatives, following which we enrolled a case under segment 376 (2) (E) of Indian Penal Code at Sushant Lok police headquarters. We have distinguished the suspect however are yet to capture him,” she was cited as saying in the report.
