Secretary to the CM (5T) VK Pandian visited the Harekrushna Mahatab State Library in Bhubaneswar today at the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s request. He spoke with the pupils about the library’s resources and challenges. One of the state’s top libraries, the Harekrushna Mahatab State Library attracts hundreds of students, young people studying for competitive examinations, and regular people each day.
The library, which has aged, will be renovated, along with the flooring, seats, tables, and other furnishings. Various civil buildings will also be upgraded. The entire library will also be air-conditioned, and the volumes will be stored in a contemporary manner. More students and the general public will be able to study more easily thanks to the addition of a new building on the library’s grounds that is furnished and air-conditioned.
The library courtyard will be landscaped. Along with this, a food court will be created by Mission Shakti and offered for students and members of the public visiting the library. For the sake of these pupils, a dining center will be built. Enough competitive periodicals will be stored in the library, and the entire library will be handled by IT Enabled Smart Management, as the students visiting the library are mostly studying for various competitive tests.
In addition, motivational talks will be presented periodically by individuals who have succeeded in a variety of industries for career counseling. Students studying for various competitive examinations would find it useful. On-campus Wi-Fi facilities will be made available. To relieve the overcrowding at the State library, a public library will be established in Bapuji Nagar.
