Cuttack: On Tuesday The High Court of Odisha Declined the merit list prepared by Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) for the of junior recruitment teachers in primary and upper primary schools in odisha.Hearing pleas alleging irregularities in the recruitment process of junior teachers, the court also rejected the district-wise merit list prepared by the OSEPA.
According to HC , It was instructions given to prepare a new merits lists as per the guidelines and terms of the recruiters. Notably, a notification was issued online for recruitment to junior teacher posts in September last year. After the end of the application process, OSEPA released a draft merit list on January 15 this year. Another notification was issued on January 17 informing the candidates for the verification of certificates and other documents in districts. He further added “The high court’s judgement came and the merit list has been rejected.
On a note, According to OSEPA Director Anupam Shah, As we have the only information with the high court’s judgement is on the district preferences of candidates. We will move forward with appropriate steps after having a legal opinions, As the court has no response, as far as the Exam procedure is concerned.
