To continue its support for the Odisha startup ecosystem, HDFC Bank signed an MOU with one of India’s premier technical institutes, IIT Bhubaneswar, for its incubation centre – IIT Bhubaneswar Research and Entrepreneurship Park – to support the startups incubated with IIT Bhubaneswar REP and provide banking solutions, mentorship, handholding, and other value added initiatives.
The MOU was signed in the presence of Purabee Parnashree Mishra by Debi Prosad Dogra (Board of Directors- IIT Bhubaneswar REP), Prof. Sujit Roy (Board of Directors- IIT Bhubaneswar REP), Deepak Kumar Singh (Sr. VP-II, State Head, HDFC Bank), and Animesh Biswal, Vice President, HDFC Bank.
Deepak Singh from HDFC Bank addressed the Startups about the bank’s flagship programme SMARTUP, as well as the allocation of grants to startups in Odisha through CSR funds by HDFC Bank since 2017. With this MOU, IIT Bhubaneswar-incubated startups will receive many benefits from the Smartup programme, which was launched by HDFC Bank in collaboration with government and private entities to support the growth of the startup ecosystem.
HDFC Bank will host an HNI meet and provide mentoring to startups. In addition, the bank has launched a special programme through which startups working on socioeconomic ventures can receive grants. HDFC Bank Connect will connect innovative startups with HDFC Bank’s relevant business and technology teams.
