Heat To Grip Odisha From Tomorrow, Yellow Alert Issued For Dense Fog

Odisha’s winter has ended, and the state is preparing for a heat wave that is predicted to start tomorrow. According to the India Meteorological Department, temperatures will climb significantly and there won’t be any relief from the heat for at least a week.

Odisha’s temperature has already risen by 2 to 4 degrees above average, and the meteorological service predicts that this trend will continue over the following four to five days. It will feel hot in every region due to the continued high daytime and nighttime temperatures.

In the meantime, 24 districts in Odisha are under a yellow alert for heavy fog during the next 24 hours. Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khordha, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Jajpur, Deogarh, Sambalpur, and Keonjhar are among the districts that are under the dense fog alert. Additionally, coastal Odisha is expected to have light to moderate fog on January 31. Residents have been urged by the Meteorological Department to take the appropriate safety measures during the heat wave and heavy fog.
