‘Hike In Fuel Prices Temporary’ Says Dharmendra Pradhan

The petrol price had crossed the Rs 100 per liter mark in Sriganganagar town of Rajasthan and in Odisha also the extra-premium petrol has also touched the century mark in Malkangiri district.

The Petrol and diesel prices have reached record highs which are creating problems for the consumers in India. The rising high prices have now become debatable to every area across the country. But Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated that the high rise in fuel prices is a temporary phenomenon.

As per the ANI report, Pradhan stated that during Coronavirus many international circumstances demanded the destruction of fuel which led to a supply cut. Though the manufacturing countries had assured to restore the normal production-supply by January-February, it is yet to be achieved. 

He further stated that several taxes are being imposed to revive the economy which was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic last year. However, the Central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has come up with a fantastic budget in which Rs 35,000 crore has been allocated for vaccines and converge given on agriculture, railways, and other sectors.
