All public and private schools in Keonjhar, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Subarnapur, and Nuapada have been closed on Wednesday as a severe depression over the Bay of Bengal continues to pummel numerous areas of Odisha with nonstop rain. The government of the Keonjhar district took action when the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted a lot of rain for the area.
Sources claim that the Keonjhar Collector has also ordered all Block Development Officers (BDOs) to be on the lookout for any potential problems brought on by the downpours. Similar to this, the Bolangir district government declared a vacation following the IMD’s red alert for the area’s severe rains.
