The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) reviewed the lifetime achievement award to business icon Ratan Tata as part of recent global leadership awards.

The IACC leadership bestowed the IACC Lifetime and Global Excellence Award to Tata on Friday at a closed-door meeting, owing to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Tata, who grew revenues for India’s largest conglomerate ‘The Tata Group’ to nearly 100 billion by 2011-12, remains as an influential industrialist, philanthropist, and humanitarian to the day.

Tata, who accepted few awards over the last few years, received the honour. He believed these awards inspire future global leaders as well as countering the strong bilateral economic ties between India and the US.

We believe Tata as the first Indian to recognize and tap the potential of the US market.
Under his leadership, the TATA group had transformed into the largest Indian employer in US in a matter of three decades stated by IACC.

The group is entrenched in multiple industries globally, from heavy steel (TATA Steel), automobiles (TATA Motors), ITES (TATA Consultancy Services).

After he got retired from the helm of the Group, Tata remains an influential mentor to multiple Indian startups.
Naushad Panjwani, the Regional President of IACC West India Council, mentioned that we should consider Tata as the primary Indian to grasp and exploit the American market’s potential.

Beneath his management, the Tata group turned the most crucial Indian employment supplier within the US in merely three many years.
