In Panvel, a dead pedestrian was discovered by an unnamed person. A quarrel about parking a car in front of a store in Turbhe resulted in a shopkeeper stabbing the car’s driver with a screwdriver. In Kharghar Navi, Mumbai, a brawl over the theft of iron rods resulted in the death of a welder. In the last 24 hours, there have been reports of three murders in Navi Mumbai. In the first instance, an unnamed person was found dead in Panvel next to a footpath dweller. In the second instance, an auto driver was attacked by a shopkeeper in Turbhe with a screwdriver after a dispute over parking the car in front of the store, and in the third event, a welder was slain in Kharghar during a dispute over stealing iron. All three incidents were reported on Tuesday night.
In the crimes reported to the Turbhe and Kharghar police, the police were successful in apprehending suspects in two of the three alleged murders. The accused in the crime reported to Panvel police has not yet been identified, and investigations are ongoing.A car driver named Dinesh Uday Chavan (36), who resides close to Saramai Mata Mandir in Turbhe Stores, was slain on Tuesday morning due to a parking dispute in Shivshakti Nagar. In front of the store owned by the defendant, Dinesh Radhyesham Maurya (33), a driver by trade, Chavan had parked his rickshaw.
“The two never argued about the parking situation. They may have argued verbally once or twice, but it never got out of hand. The disagreement turned physical for the first time at this point, and the accused punched Chavan in the chest with a screwdriver out of rage. Following the event, we detained the suspects, according to senior police inspector Ravindra Daundkar of the Turbhe MIDC police station.Three of the four suspects were detained by Kharghar police following the murder of a 35-year-old Kharghar welder. The two men who died have been named as Vinod Narayan Rathod (35) and his companion Anil Jadhav, both residents of Kharghar Sector-13. On Monday night, they made an attempt to steal an iron rod that was kept outside a store in Sector 12.
