Today, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik gave his approval to the plan to convert all 7,579 small Anganwadis in the State to normal centers. According to Patnaik, the state’s child development programs may be improved.
The cost of upgrading these little Anganwadi institutions is Rs 5,521,30,150. The national government would contribute Rs 18, 80,34,990, and the state government of Odisha will spend Rs 36,40,95,160. Along with administrative costs, the monies also pay medical supplies, furnishings, and other equipment.
It is important to note that Anganwadi Centers function throughout the state to provide disadvantaged children with care and early education.
