Increasing Crimes in the Country

Increasing crime rates are a serious cause for concern in current times. Starting from the R.G. Kar case to the recent law case, and various other instances which go unreported, this increase in crime rates is in fact quite possible. The cases of Dalit women who get sexually assaulted never make it to the limelight, because of their position in the social ladder.

Crimes refer to acts of indiscrepancy, or acts of violence committed against a particular individual or a group, depending upon the particular situation. The rising crime rate also is directly linked with game of politics directly. The power struggle regarding politics in West Bengal is indeed quite alarming. The goons of political parties at times  go around committing crimes in broad daylight, without any fear of consequences because they are in the power .

The loose judgements regarding rape and murder cases in the state reflects upon the interlinked poor judiciary condition as well. A world highly infested with crimes is always prone to utmost danger, no matter what the situation. The distorted mentality of individuals is directly responsible, in addition to politics, for the increase in crime rates in today’s time. To curb this gradually increasing rate of crimes , immediate measures need to be taken.
