After a lot of internal political turmoil in Pakistan, finally former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was thrown out of his seat by a no confidence vote by majprity of the constitution. After Imran Khan H. E. Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was elected as the 23rd Prime Minsiter of the country by the political parties. Soon after his coming to the power, the honorable Prime Minsiter of India Shri Narendra Modi congratulated him in a tweet and also said that “India Desires Peace In Region Free Of Terror”.
“Congratulations to H. E. Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on his election as the Prime Minister of Pakistan. India desires peace and stability in a region free of terror, so that we can focus on our development challenges and ensure the well-being and prosperity of our people,” PM Modi tweeted.
Shehbaz Sharif has been raising the Kashmir issue – which India has categorically called an internal matter. Earlier today, in his inaugural speech after being elected as the new prime minister, Sharif raised the issue of abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir in his inaugural speech today, alleging that the people in the Valley are bleeding, as he stressed that Pakistan will provide them with “diplomatic and moral support”, besides raising the matter at every international forums.”
