On the day of the game, ITC’s Welcomhotel in Ahmedabad charged a fee of Rs 72,000. On the day of the match, many other hotels in the city, like TC Narmada and Courtyard by Marriott, had no rooms available.
Since it’s a hospital, people are requesting a complete body check-up and an overnight stay, which serves both of their objectives of saving money on lodging and having their health examined, according to Dr. Paras Shah, a city hospital employee who spoke to Ahmedabad Mirror.
These people are prepared for whatever accommodation offered to them, including premium and suite rooms. Since we only have a limited number of rooms, we are selective in accepting such advance reservations from NRIs because patient care is our top concern.
