Savitri Jindal has conquered the title of Asia’s richest woman at 72 with a net worth of $18 Billion.
Savitri’s net worth has more than tripled from $4.8 billion to $17.7 billion just in a few months. Her fortune plummeted by 50% in 2019 and 2020 has been a rollercoaster ride for her. From $8.8 billion in 2018, her net worth has decreased to $5.9 billion in 2019 and $4.8 billion in 2020. However, now she has a net worth of $18 billion.
Her company, Jindal Group, is India’s third largest steel producer and is also active in the cement, energy and infrastructure sectors. When her fortune reached $18 billion in 2021, she was included in the list of 10 richest people in India in 2021. In recent years, she has consistently been ranked as the richest woman in India by Forbes. Jindal is also the 10th richest person in the country of about 1.4 billion people. She became chairman of the Jindal Group shortly after her husband and founder OP Jindal’s death in 2005. She took over Jindal’s steel and energy company after her husband’s sudden death.
Today, she is the richest woman not only in India but also in Asia. Savitri Jindal is the only woman to make it into the top 10 richest Indians list released by Forbes in 2021.
