Bhubaneswar: To India’s renewable energy ambitions and Odisha’s industrial growth, the INOXGFL Group announced that its subsidiary, INOX Solar, has been allotted land by the Odisha government for establishing a state-of-the-art solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Dhenkanal district.
The proposed facility will have a production capacity of 4.8 gigawatts (GW) each for solar cells and solar modules, with a total investment of ₹4,000 crore. The plant is expected to generate over 3,400 direct and indirect employment opportunities, further bolstering the state’s green energy ecosystem and industrial development.
The Odisha government has allocated approximately 78 acres of land for the project, reflecting the state’s commitment to becoming a hub for renewable energy manufacturing in India.
“We are proud to partner with the Odisha government to take forward India’s clean energy goals. This facility will not only contribute to the country’s ambitious target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030 but also create meaningful employment in the region,” said a spokesperson from INOXGFL Group.
The project is aligned with India’s vision of becoming self-reliant in solar manufacturing under initiatives like Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. With this major development, Odisha is poised to play a crucial role in accelerating the nation’s shift towards clean energy solutions.
