The ongoing rat race between the students in 21st century is quite evident nowadays. People from several stream and background choose their career option. It is very evident that there is a lot of stress as the youngsters get confused which stream to choose and which career option is best suited for them. Moreover they are confused a lot about the expectations of their parents and new options seem often seem risky to them.
According to the statistics by Youth Union Group the percentage of youngsters taking up Journalism as a career option has increased to 38% in the last three years. Journalism is one of the favourite career options chosen by the student as it has a variety of subject matters such as Reporting , Anchoring , Mass Communication , Public Relations , Advertising etc. For choosing Journalism as an career option people from different streams can apply in Undergraduate colleges for Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communication. Here they are taught basics of writing, anchoring , even skills like audio recording and Radio Handling. With advancement in technology nowadays youth have several opportunities in hand like earning an incoming by just freelancing on running a successful blog or vlog.
Journalism can also be categorized into several types among which people choose their best type they want to choose. Several categories include Crime Reporting , Sports Journalism , Super Natural Stories etc. The best benefits of this career option as discussed with students is that they get a chance to work in their field of interest and thus it enhances their performance in their particular field. One should surely try out this option if they have a creative brain and have knack in covering several stories and writing. This is a profession which is gaining popularity nowadays and not only that it has a fair role to play in an Democratic Country like India.
