JSP Foundation’s “Asha The Hope” programme celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPWD) 2022 at Benagadia High School in Angul district. Working on the IDPWD’s theme of the year, “Transformative Solutions for Inclusive Development: The Role of Innovation in Fueling an Accessible and Equitable World,” 100 children with special needs, including the Children of “Asha The Hope,” took part in the programme.
Mr. Dhruba Charan Sahu, Headmaster of Benagadia High School, and Mr. Durjyodhana Das, Chairperson of the School Management Committee, graced the occasion as Chief-Guest and Guest of Honour, respectively, and praised the initiative of JSP Foundation.
Specially abled children participated in activities such as song and dance programmes on this occasion, and awards were given to them to boost their morale and spirit.
An awareness rally was also held in Benagadia village to make this day memorable for everyone.
Ms. Shallu Jindal, Chairperson of JSP Foundation, said in a special message on this occasion, “I salute the courage and bravery of the persons with disabilities for their struggle for living and their confidence in overcoming adversities.” On this IDPWD 22, I assure each Individual with Special Needs of the JSP Foundation’s support. We are working to build an inclusive and equitable India for our citizens with special needs through our Asha the Hope Program.l
