JSW STEEL RECOGNIZED WITH ‘A’ SCORE BY CDP

According to data from the CDP's 2022 Climate Change questionnaire, JSW Steel is one of only a few companies that received a 'A' out of more than 15,000 companies evaluated.

JSW Steel has been named to the annual ‘A List’ of the global environmental non-profit CDP for its leadership in corporate transparency and climate change performance.

According to data from the CDP’s 2022 Climate Change questionnaire, JSW Steel is one of only a few companies that received a ‘A’ out of more than 15,000 companies evaluated.
CDP assesses these companies using a detailed and independent methodology, assigning a score of A to D- based on the comprehensiveness of disclosure, awareness and management of environmental risks, and demonstration of best practises associated with environmental leadership, such as setting ambitious and meaningful targets. Those who fail to disclose or provide insufficient information are classified as ‘F’.

The annual environmental disclosure and scoring process used by CDP is widely regarded as the gold standard of corporate environmental transparency. Over 680 investors with more than US$130 trillion in assets and 280 major purchasers with US$6.4 trillion in procurement spend asked companies to disclose data on environmental impacts, risks, and opportunities through CDP’s platform in 2022. A total of 18,700 businesses responded, setting a new record.
