Jyoti Prakash Pattnaik, a government advocate, was named the state’s acting advocate general by the Odisha government on Wednesday.
In addition to his primary duties, Pattnaik will also serve as the Advocate General, per a notification released by the Law Department.
Following the resignation of the previous Advocate General, Ashok Parija, Pattnaik was named the acting AG, according to reports.
In 2019, Parija was named Advocate General.
