Kangana Ranaut, an actor who is now a politician, made a humiliating mistake at one of her recent campaign events. Because of their similar names, the BJP candidate from the Mandi parliamentary constituency in Himachal Pradesh ended up criticizing a party colleague rather than a leader of the opposition. She intended to make fun of Tejashwi Yadav of the RJD, but instead she used the name of Tejasvi Surya, a BJP MP running for reelection in Bengaluru South.
“There’s a party of spoilt princes… whether it’s Rahul Gandhi who wants to grow potatoes on the Moon, or Tejasvi Surya who does hooliganism and eats fish,” Kangana said.
Kangana was referring to a viral video where Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son is seen having fish fry. Taking a cue from her senior party leaders, Kangana was looking to attack Tejashwi for eating non-vegetarian food on Navratri.
Tejashwi, who later clarified that the footage was shot before Navratri, took a dig at BJP leaders by saying that he has “succeeded in exposing the low IQ” of his detractors.
