Keonjhar District in Odisha Will Soon Have ‘Mo Bus’ Service

The ‘Mo Bus’ service will shortly be introduced by the Odisha government in the Keonjhar region. According to reports, a decision was made in this respect at the 44th board meeting of the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), which was recently presided over by Development Commissioner Anu Garg. The program would provide inhabitants of the Keonjhar region with an accessible and reasonably priced public transportation system.

According to the PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme, the CRUT also intends to introduce e-bus service in strategic areas of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Rourkela, Sambalpur, and Keonjhar. Additionally, it has been agreed to construct a cutting-edge bus depot at Pokhariput in the state capital, a specialized EV depot at Gadakana, and a contemporary bus depot at Naraj near Cuttack. In addition to this, the CRUT will install a charging station at the OD Terminal at Ghatikia in the nation’s capital as well as OD Terminals at key places in Ganjam at Chhatrapur, Gopalpur, and Haladipadar, and Sambalpur at Modipada and Ainthapalli.

Funds have also been provided for the renovation and improvement of the existing bus terminal at Master Canteen in Bhubaneswar, an official said, adding that the CRUT will soon have modern conferencing facility at Patia and Bhagabanpur depots to facilitate virtual training and capacity building for employees of all operational areas
