Kerala Man mistakes railway track for road and gets arrested

An alcohol-impaired man from Ancharakandi, Kannur, mistook the railway lines for a road and drove his automobile into them. Before coming to a stop, the car moved along the tracks for about 15 metres. There has also been a video of the incident going around.Police detained Jayaprakashan, age 49, for operating his vehicle on a railway track.After travelling only a short distance along the train track, the car came to a stop, leaving it trapped in the midst of a busy railway track. Fortunately, no scheduled trains were moving when the tragedy occurred.

The incident occurred on July 18. The police took his statement, seized his automobile, and then released him on bail on July 19. He is accused of violating pertinent portions of the Railway Act as well as Section 185 of the Motor Vehicle Act of 1988.The individual appears to have mistaken the railway tracks for a regular road while intoxicated, which caused him to drive onto them, according to the police.Fortunately, a train guard and a few locals saw the automobile stranded on the lines and called the police right away. They acted quickly to prevent a potential railway disaster by pulling the car away from the tracks.
