Meanwhile, TMZ has reported that Francia stopped talking to Selena because the singer didn’t stop drinking even after undergoing the kidney transplant. TMZ quoted Francia’s dad El Cucuy who said that Francia didn’t want Selena to continue drinking after the transplant as it might put stress on the singer’s Kidney.
After Selena did an interview in November, their friendship began to deteriorate. Selena claimed in the interview that Taylor Swift was the only celebrity friend she had. Francia, who had donated her kidney to save Selena’s life, was not pleased with this comment.
