Konark Festival 2020 to start from tomorrow

The famous Konark Festival will be held from tomorrow. It will run for five days from December 1 to December 5 this year. This year, the Konark Festival 2020 will be held amid the covid crowd cuts and restrictions. As the Odisha Tourism Department is nearing completion, all arrangements have been made to ensure that tourists safely follow the Covid rules and sit on the stage and enjoy classical dance music. Social distancing and wearing of masks will be mandatory for tourists.

In addition, a sand art festival has been organized this year at Chandrabhaga Beach. More than 20 sand artists will be performing sand art this time around. Although many artists come from home and abroad every year, this year foreign artists are banned. In addition, the open sky Theater is decorated like a bride for dance performances in Konark. Students from Bhubaneswar BK College of Arts and Crafts have painted the walls of the theater and every corner of the city of Konark in art.

The district administration hopes that tourists will enjoy the Konark festival this year, as the festival will be held amidst the Covid cut-off, with the fair banned, the traffic problem fixed, and tourists will be observed following the Covid guidelines.
