Being invited as a third-year student to the esteemed Republic Day “At Home” reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan is a significant milestone for Vikram Dev University, Jeypore. Lingaraj Nagar resident Debasmita Benia, the student, received this unique accolade in appreciation of her outstanding contributions to National Cadet Corps (NCC) activities.
Debasmita, who has won the Chief Minister’s Award and the Rajiv Gandhi State Award for her exceptional work in NCC, was chosen for this esteemed occasion. The Jeypore Post Office Officer personally delivered the invitation to Debasmita at his home in Lingaraj Nagar.
Upon receiving the formal invitation letter, Debasmita expressed her heartfelt gratitude to President Droupadi Murmu, the Government of India, her NCC officer. NCC Caretaker Officer (CTO) Santoshini Munda confirmed that Debasmita will leave for Delhi on January 18 to attend the Republic Day celebrations at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
