Krushi Vidya Nidhi Yojana, a part of CM-KISAN, has provided scholarship aid to sons and daughters of CM-KISAN recipients for their higher education, benefitting 13,923 students overall in the current academic year. Among the students who benefitted from the program are 592 medical students, 4,592 engineering students, 4,574 polytechnic students, 1,417 nursing students, 510 MCA students, and 174 students from the agricultural and related sectors.
Of them, fifty-five students have benefited from attending prominent universities like as NIT and IIM. The State government has given a cash award totaling Rs. 53,57,94,405 in total. The student’s Aadhar-linked bank account has received the payment straight. Eligible students enrolled in technical and professional courses such as medical, engineering, nursing, diploma engineering, agriculture and related courses, BBA, and BCA at government, private, and national educational institutions are eligible to receive annual tuition fees, including hostel fees, under this program.
While private institutions have set a maximum annual capping amount, such as Rs 60,000 for B Tech Engineering, Rs 66,000 for M Tech Engineering, Rs 65,000 for MBA, Rs 37,950 for 4-5 years of scholarship for medical education, Rs 35,000 for 4-year B Pharma, Rs 19,450 for nursing education, Rs 58,000 for two-year medical education, Rs 60,000 for architect course, etc., government institutes provide assistance for the actual course fee. Until the completion of the course, a student benefits from this.
